Hidden ("we," "our," or "us") is a Scripture memory app built to help you memorize and meditate on the Bible. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and optionally a display name.
• App content: Verses you save, your memorization progress, plan selections, and practice statistics are stored so they sync across devices.
• Social features: If you use the Friends feature, your display name and avatar color are visible to friends you connect with.
• Device information: We may collect basic device identifiers and OS version for crash reporting and app performance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the app's core functionality (verse storage, practice modes, progress tracking).
• To sync your data across devices via your account.
• To enable social features such as friend connections and shared progress.
• To send optional daily reminder notifications (only if you enable them).
• To respond to support requests.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen inside the app, which permanently removes your account and all associated data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above as necessary to operate the app.

6. Children's Privacy

Hidden is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

• Access & correction: You can update your display name in Settings at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account.
• Notifications: You can disable all notifications from Settings or your device's notification settings.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase's built-in security rules and encrypted data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
